Bulk import images

Hello, under the Gallery tab in the ACP there is an "import images" menu. It gives you instructions on how to import images directly from off of your computer to the server folder.
Now, can anyone tell me what pad should be used when you use a mac...

It shows Linux and Windows examples but not Mac's.

And even on a windows machine, its not really clear to me how this method is to be used.

I'm just no sure how to use this feature.
